THIS IS SHIT!
Poor Liam… it’s not fair, he make a really good job, i know it’s not andy but still…i love the way he plays Spartacus <3
(btw. .. Dan defending him is so cute <3)

Ugh, this is why I hate Twitter so damn much. It amazes me how people think it’s totally okay to tweet Liam an article painting him as the reason why Spartacus is ending after the third season, just as it’s rude to ask Dan on Twitter about his sexuality, just as it’s rude to ask Steven DeKnight on Twitter to cut out “the gay shit.”
I love how people (not the people I follow, you guys are the best) are blaming Liam. Because it totally has nothing to do with the fact that this show is about SPARTACUS THEREFORE THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH DEKNIGHT CAN DO. History dictates that the war didn’t last long, that Spartacus and his army were defeated, that they were all killed. Nope! It totally has nothing to do with that, let’s blame Liam instead! Spartacus isn’t the Simpsons, y’all; they have a very limited timeframe to work with, they CAN’T have 7+ seasons.
When it comes to Liam, some people don’t like him as Spartacus. Which hey, okay, fine, Andy was really great in the role. But in my opinion, Liam wasn’t the problem. He really didn’t have a lot to work with this past season, he had zero time to bulk up in order to look like Spartacus, the show was obviously reeling from Andy’s passing, and the writers really didn’t seem to have a firm grasp on what they were doing with Spartacus. They also made the mistake of making Spartacus’ arc too subtle, I think. They did so well with showing the growth of Agron, Illithyia, and Glaber (these three are the ones with the most dynamic arc this season in my opinion), but Spartacus’ journey was a bit too subtle on screen. I think this hurt people’s perceptions of how Liam played the character. But to blame Liam for this is just ridiculous and…dumb. It’s just dumb.
But how much do I love Dan? Defending his bro and telling him to brush that dirt off his shoulder (insert obligatory ‘omg he calls liam ‘big fella’ dnfsjdfndfnsd comment here).
