That scene in the second gif just KILLS me every time I watch it. I love the character of Agron SO MUCH because of little things like this, little fleeting moments that really don’t have anything to do with the main storyline. We’ve seen Agron practically bouncing in place throughout the entire episode at the thought of rebelling against the Romans, but when Duro falls, he stops everything he’s doing to hold his brother one last time. The way he places his hand against Duro’s head, hesitant at first, is so gentle, and this one little moment tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about Agron. Just one little hand gesture, and suddenly you understand this character so much more than you did before, and you know that he is never going to be the same.
UGH SNARKY GERMAN BROTHERS WHY DO YOU HURT MY HEART LIKE THIS.
The attention to little details like this is one of the reasons why I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW.
# ugh # don't mind me # just sobbing over snarky german brothers # whose snark towards each other was just one facet of how much they loved and depended on each other # the tears on my face are plentiful and gross when it comes to these two # spartacus # agron # duro # all hail the snarky bros from the east of the rhine

Excuse me while I go cry. My older-sibling feels are making themselves known.
^ This. The look on Duro’s face, as if he’s silently asking Agron if he did good, if Agron is proud of him for standing up to Crixus. How Agron holds his face and leans his forehead against Duro’s.
Snarky German Brothers from the East of the Rhine hit all my Older Sister Feels in a major, major way.
