buffyconfessions: I blame Dawn for Tara’s death. If Dawn hadn’t been eavesdropping on Tara and Willow while the were fighting and mentioned it to Tara after Willow erased her memory, they wouldn’t have broken up, and chances are Tara wouldn’t have been with Willow that morning. Followers, I’m sure you’ve seen me mention that my hatred for the Buffy fandom a few times on this blog. Confessions like this are just one of the reasons why I hate the Buffy fandom so much. Yes, because Dawn was totally at fault here. Dawn was a 15-year-old girl who has experienced more loss than any 15-year-old should ever have to experience. Dawn was a 15-YEAR-OLD GIRL THAT HAD NO CLUE THAT WILLOW ASSAULTED TARA WITH MAGIC AND WIPED HER MEMORY. DAWN SIMPLY WANTED TO EXPRESS HER HAPPINESS AT THE THOUGHT OF HER FRIENDS AND SISTER SURROGATES NO LONGER FIGHTING WITH EACH OTHER. But sure, let’s absolve Willow from any wrongdoing here. Who cares that Willow, who as a witch is supposed to uphold the laws of nature and maintain the delicate balance of the elements, used magic to wipe Tara’s mind? Who cares that Willow, who is supposed to fucking know better, assaulted the woman she claimed to love more than anything, the same woman who endured mental and probably physical abuse from her blood relatives? Let’s just blame Dawn, the innocent 15-year-old girl, because she’s such a great scapegoat? I mean, she’s so whiny and annoying, right? Ignoring how fucked up it is that anyone could even THINK that Dawn is an asshole for mentioning the fight Willow and Tara had, no one is to blame for Tara’s death except for Warren. Not Dawn, not Willow, not Buffy or Xander. Warren made the decision that he was going to kill Buffy. Warren purchased the gun, Warren decided to march his misogynistic ass over to the Summers’ residence, Warren decided to pull the fucking trigger. Yeah, Warren didn’t want to kill Tara, but he pulled the trigger. HE ALONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR TARA’S DEATH, AND TO BLAME ANYONE ELSE FOR IT NOT ONLY SHOWS YOUR INABILITY TO FOLLOW A DAMN STORYLINE, BUT ALSO SHOWS THAT YOU ARE A VILE, GROSS, AND IMMATURE HUMAN BEING THAT SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO LOOK AT YOUR LIFE AND LOOK AT YOUR MOTHERFUCKING CHOICES.
