My ex-BFF and I are the same height (we measured ourselves just to be sure), but I always looked shorter than her. We finally realized that it’s because she has a shorter torso and longer legs, whereas I have short legs and a longer torso. Also she was like, 60 or so pounds lighter than me, and I carry all my weight in my stomach/breasts. So really it can depend on your body proportions.
